How do I prove a project is mine?
Verify your site or GitHub repo to get a badge, stop anyone else listing it, and unlock sales and prizes.
There are two ways to show a project is really yours. Either one gives it a verified badge.
Repo verified. Sign in with GitHub (or connect GitHub in Settings) and add the project’s GitHub repo. If the repo belongs to your GitHub account, the badge appears on its own.
Site verified. On your project page, open Verify you own this site and put your code on the site in one of three ways, then click Check now:
- Meta tag (easiest): add the line we give you to the
<head>of your homepage and publish. In Lovable, Bolt or v0 you can just ask it to “add this meta tag to the head of index.html”. - File: upload
/.well-known/vibers-verify.txtcontaining your code. - DNS: add a TXT record with your code to your domain.
Once it’s verified you can take the code off again if you like.
What verifying gets you
- A Site verified or Repo verified badge on your project and its card.
- Nobody else can list your site. One site can only be listed once, and a verified domain is locked to you.
- Selling and prizes. You need a verified site or repo to sell a paid download, and a winning challenge entry needs one before its prize can be paid.
Someone else has listed my project
When you try to post it, Vibers tells you it’s already listed and offers prove it and claim the listing. Verify the site and the listing moves to your account, ready to edit. If it had already made sales or won a prize, it’s taken down instead and our team reviews it.
If you can’t verify (for example the site isn’t yours to edit), report the project as stolen and we’ll look into it.
